Updated Website
I mentioned in my last post that I was working on updating my site theme and structure to give it a more modern look and to make it easier to use on mobile devices. Well, here it is!
At this point there are still things I will be tweaking and tuning, but it is good enough to roll out right now. This is important, because some of the changes - such as using categories - require updates to all of my past posts, and without having the new theme in place, I wouldn't be able to see that those updates are rendering properly. So, as I continue with the updates, you can expect to see incremental improvements for awhile until I get everything ship-shape.
As part of this update I have added the ability to create and link to content that I don't consider to be blog post material, but which instead consists of standalone articles or other content. As the first non-blog content, you can now find my article on sardines.
Also note that my Appalachian Trail site has not changed, but that I will eventually be incorporating that content into this site. This will take some time, since all that content is raw HTML - no Markdown at all!
Enjoy the updates, and please let me know if you find broken stuff on the site!
